Understanding the Credit System
Time for Talk: Generally, 100 credits will give you between 30 to 50 minutes of speaking practice.
Expert Rates Vary: Each expert sets their own rate in credits. This means some may ask for more credits per minute than others.
Value of Learning: Remember, the goal is to improve your speaking. Choosing the right expert can make a big difference in your learning.
Use Your Free Credits
When you sign up, you get 20 free credits from us. Here's how to begin:
Use Your Credits to Speak: These credits are for you to practice speaking for about 5-10 minutes.
Pick Your Expert: Different experts ask for different amounts of credits for their time to help you.
Practice Makes Perfect: Feel free to record your speech as many times as you like to make sure it's just right.
Send Your Best Effort: With the starting plan, you can choose your best recording to send for expert review once.
Experts Are Here to Help: Remember, the experts are here to guide you. They're friendly and want to see you improve.
Getting More Credits for More Learning
To continue your journey, you might want more credits. Here's the next step:
Easy Credit Purchase: You can buy more credits anytime on the website or through your profile.
Payment Method: Currently, PayPal is the way to buy credits, but we're adding more options soon. Keep an eye out!
Payment Method
- Current Option: For now, PayPal is the only payment method available for purchasing credits, which are essential for accessing speaking sessions and expert feedback.
- Future Updates: We're working on introducing more payment options soon. This will provide you with greater flexibility and convenience in managing your transactions on Pronto Speaking.
Feedback Confirmation
Confirming Received Feedback: It’s important to confirm you've received and understood your feedback. This lets your expert know you're engaged and helps you track your progress.
Experts Await Your Confirmation: When you confirm feedback, it shows experts you value their advice. This encourages them to continue providing you with quality guidance.
Recording and Reviewing Your Submissions
Check Your Recordings: It's important to check and recheck your recordings several times before submission. This helps ensure your voice is clear and audible.
Voice Clarity: Make sure your voice is clear in the recording. Speak directly into the microphone at a steady pace, and try to pronounce your words as clearly as possible.
Background Noise: Listen for any background noise that may be present in your recording. Too much noise can distract from your speech and make it hard for experts to understand you.
Re-recording if Necessary: If you notice any issues with your recording, such as muffled voice, background noise, or parts where you misspoke, don't hesitate to re-record it. The clearer your submission, the better feedback you'll receive.
Comprehensive Feedback: By ensuring your recordings are of good quality, experts can provide you with more comprehensive and useful feedback. Clear audio allows them to focus on your language use, pronunciation, and other important aspects of your speaking skills.

How to be a great speaking expert
Becoming a great speaking expert requires a focus on key areas to enhance a learner's communication skills. Below are essential guidelines to support and improve a speaker's abilities across various dimensions:
Vocabulary:
- Relevance and Appropriateness: Ensure the vocabulary used is suitable for the context and understandable by the intended audience.
- Precision and Clarity: Encourage precise vocabulary to convey clear and accurate messages.
- Range and Diversity: Motivate the speaker to use a broad array of words to express their thoughts more vividly and avoid redundancy.
Grammar:
- Accuracy: Identify and address errors in verb tense, subject-verb agreement, and sentence structure.
- Complexity: Encourage the use of varied grammatical structures to demonstrate language proficiency.
- Clarity: Guide the speaker towards grammatical choices that enhance, rather than obscure, meaning.
Stress and Rhythm:
- Word Stress: Correct mispronunciations affecting word stress, which can lead to misunderstandings.
- Sentence Rhythm: Provide feedback on the rhythm of speech, pointing out unnatural pausing and advising on natural speech patterns.
Intonation:
- Pitch and Variation: Encourage the use of intonation to express questions, statements, emotions, and emphasis.
- Expressiveness: Coach the speaker on using intonation to engage the audience and convey the appropriate mood or attitude.
Fluency:
- Smoothness: Address frequent hesitations, repetitions, or self-corrections that disrupt the flow of speech.
- Pacing: Provide guidance on speaking rate; too fast may lose listeners, too slow may bore them.
- Linking Words: Advise on the use of connectors and transitions to make speech more coherent and fluid.
Overall Communication Skills:
- Confidence: Encourage confidence through positive reinforcement and constructive criticism.
- Engagement: Assess the speaker’s ability to maintain the audience's interest and interact effectively.
- Non-verbal Cues: Offer feedback on body language, facial expressions, and eye contact that support the spoken message.
- Audience Awareness: Guide the speaker in adjusting their message, style, and language according to the audience.
Notifications
Regularly checking your email ensures you stay updated with important platform activities, enhancing your efficiency and response time as an expert. You will be notified under the following conditions:
- Registration Confirmation: You'll receive a notification confirming your successful registration on the platform.
-
New Speaking Task: A notification will alert you when you receive a new speaking task to review.
-
Feedback Confirmation and Payment: You'll be notified when students confirm the feedback you've provided and when you get paid for that specific task.
-
Earnings Withdrawal Request: When your earnings reach $150 and you submit a request to withdraw, you will receive a notification confirming the submission of your request.
Setting Your Price
Experts set their hourly rate in US dollars for reviewing one hour of speaking time. This rate is converted into credits and displayed on your profile, indicating the cost per minute for students. This system requires students to purchase credits to access speaking tasks and expert feedback, allowing experts to control their earnings potential based on their expertise and market demand.
Withdrawal Requirement
Experts must accumulate at least $150 in earnings before they can withdraw funds. Withdrawals can be transferred to either a Revolut or PayPal account for now, offering flexibility in how you receive your earnings.
Understanding the Commission Structure
The commission you pay decreases as you review more tasks, incentivizing consistent and quality feedback:
- 38% for 0-2,000 tasks.
- 33% for 2,100-5,000 tasks.
- 25% for 5,100-8,000 tasks.
- 20% for over 8,100 tasks.
Setting Your Delivery Time
Experts can select their expected feedback delivery time from predefined options such as 'Under 2 hours', '2-4 hours', '4-6 hours', and '6-12 hours'. This setting can be adjusted based on the expert's availability and workload.
When students submit speaking tasks, they can see the expert's delivery time, helping them understand when they can expect feedback.
Setting Your Availability:
-
Online Status: Set your profile to "Online" when you're ready and available to receive new tasks. This signals to the platform and students that you're ready to take on work.
-
Offline Status: Switch your profile to "Offline" if you're not available to review tasks. Use this when you know you won't be able to meet your delivery times or when you're simply not available to work.
Meeting Review Deadlines:
-
Understanding Your Delivery Time: Know your delivery time window. For example, if you've set it to 2-4 hours, be aware of this timeframe whenever you accept new tasks.
-
Receiving Tasks: When your profile is set to "Online" and you receive a task, you commit to delivering the feedback and revision within your specified delivery time window.
-
Assessing Availability: Before setting your profile to "Online," ensure you can actually deliver any received task within your delivery time. If you foresee being unable to complete tasks within this period, switch your profile to "Offline."
Introduction Video Creation and Upload
Creating Your Video: Make a 1 to 1.30-minute introduction video in high quality with a nice background. Explain how you offer detailed feedback, help improve speaking skills, and why students should select you. Ensure the audio is clear for professional clarity.
Uploading Your Video:

Microphone Etiquette for Experts
Review Your Feedback: It is crucial for experts to listen to their feedback recordings several times before sending them. This ensures that your voice is clear and the instructions are understandable.
Clarity of Voice: Make sure your voice comes through clearly in your recordings. Speak into the microphone with a steady rhythm and pronounce your words distinctly to help students understand you better.
Minimize Background Noise: Background noise can be distracting and may hinder the student's ability to understand your feedback. Aim to record in a quiet environment to enhance the quality of your audio.
Re-record if Necessary: If any part of your feedback contains audio issues like muffled sounds, background interference, or unclear instructions, consider re-recording it. The clearer your feedback, the more effective it is for the student.
