  • "At": Used for specific places. Example: "at the library," "at the corner." 

  • "In": For enclosed spaces. Example: "in a room," "in a box." 

  • "On": For surfaces. Example: "on the table," "on the wall." 

 

Using Prepositions of Place: 

  • "Under": When something is directly below something else. Example: "The cat is under the table." 

  • "Above": Used for something higher than a point. Example: "A painting is above the couch." 

  • "Next to"/"Beside": For something adjacent or very close. Example: "The plant is next to the window." 

  • "Between": When something is in the middle of two objects. Example: "The park is between the museum and the school." 

  • "Among": For something surrounded by many things. Example: "He was standing among the trees."
